Midweek Randoms

It's time for midweek randoms!

I recently picked these up from Wal-Mart because I saw them mentioned on this blog. And they are delicious!  I highly recommend them!  Dark Chocolate and Pomegranate, together...must be a health food! :)

Pick some up!  You won't regret it!

I have no cell phone service at work and it is seriously starting to drive me CRAZY!  It is SO hard having no cell phone service when you have a baby that is being taken care of by someone else!  I must fix this problem before I go insane, any suggestions?!

We went to Arkansas to visit one of my bffs LeighAnn this past weekend!  Her parents have a pool and Lolo LOVED it!  Andrew put her feet in the water and when I went to get her to put her swimsuit on she started fussing at me because I took her out of the water.  Once she got back in she was squealing she was so happy!

When we got back in town we went to eat at Cracker Barrel and check on our house being built.  Cracker Barrel has the cutest little high chairs for kids.  They look like little adult chairs.  Doesn't she look so grown up? :(

Our new house is coming along nicely!!  It is almost done being framed and there are windows!  Yay!!  I can't wait to move in!  CAN.NOT.WAIT!

And because I just love her...

San Diego - Day 3 & Our 5th Wedding Anniversary!

Friday, July 19th, was our 5th wedding anniversary! We had a great day! We spent the day in La Jolla which is this gorgeous little town in north San Diego right on the coast. It was so pretty! The coast line was full of cliffs and seals and little coves. We hiked for a bit then got lunch at a small little cafe. It was so good! And the cookies were even better! I highly recommend it!

La Jolla really is a gorgeous little town, right on the coast.  If I lived in San Diego, this is where I would want to live.  So beautiful!

Before we left, we decided to walk around the cute little shops.  As we were walking around the shops in La Jolla, we stumbled upon Lolo's store.  She was so excited, can't you tell?!?  As was her daddy that they had nothing in her size  ;)

After we returned back from La Jolla, we stopped in town to have some appetizers and walk around a bit.  We went to Trader Joe's and stocked up on Cookie Butter too!  It is THAT good!

When we got back to the hotel, Lolo and I took a little walk around the resort.  It was a nice resort right on the bay with its own private beach!

For dinner we went to the fish market in Downtown San Diego on the bay. We have both ate there before and wasn't impressed the first time for some reason, but decided to give it a shot again...and well lets just say we aren't the best orderers. We ordered the clam bake thinking that it would be full of shrimp and fish, but it wasn't...It was full of clams, go figure, hence the name! What were we thinking?!? It wasn't bad though and it was both our first time eating clams and besides being a little a lot chewy they weren't too bad ;)

What a great way to spend our anniversary!  I can't think of a more perfect way to spend our 5th anniversary!  Who would have thought that 5 years ago, after surviving medical school, residency, graduating from college, buying three houses, selling two houses, moving three, almost four times, running a marathon, struggling with infertility, and changing jobs twice, we would be where we are today and have the most amazing and beautiful daughter.  Blessed!!

San Diego - Days 1 & 2

We recently took off to San Diego for our first official family vacation!  It was Lolo's first time on a plane.  She was perfect!  She ate, slept, and played.  Then she smiled at anyone that would look at her.  Such a sweet sweet girl!

We met up with Andrew's friend Rachel on our first day there.  We ate lunch at this fun outdoor restaurant by the beach and then met up with her and her friend again for dinner.  Then we headed back to the hotel to sleep.  We I was exhausted!!

On Thursday we took some family pics by a photographer I had found online.  She was super nice and had great reasonable prices.  Lolo was due for a nap come picture time, go figure, due to the 2 hour time difference and not sleeping well, but we got a few good shots.  Here are a couple of my favorites...

After pics, Lo took a good 2 hour nap and Andrew went and got us lunch.  Then we packed up and went to Sea World!

Sea World was fun, but probably would have been better to go to when Lolo is a bit older.  She hung out in the ergo most of the day and snoozed while Andrew and I enjoyed a few shoes and some exhibits.  Shamu was awesome!  As were the dolphins!  So cool how they can train these amazing creatures.  I don't get how they do it, I can't even train my dog to go to the bathroom outside...

For dinner we went to the cafe at the hotel and had delicious fish tacos, pork tacos, and calamari.  It was so good!  And happy hour!  Score!  Lolo had her first taste of honey dew melon...

She must take after her momma, who hates melon!

Five On Friday!

I love linking up to blogs that are random posts!  Today its Five on Friday!

1. We sold our house in Norman today!  Yippee!!  What a relief!  No more mortgage...for a few months!!  Now if only we could expedite our house being built...What I would pay to have this happen...

2. We are headed to Arkansas this weekend to see one of my best friends!  I'm excited!  It's been too long, over two years, and she has never met Lolo.  Can't wait to relax and hang out with her!

3. I can't believe it will be August next week!  Crazy!  I am trying to start planning Little Miss Lo's birthday party so that I am not overwhelmed with it all at once.  First birthday parties sure have become a stressful pressure filled event these days.  Aside from that, I am thinking candy, and lots of it ;)  Lolo's first nursery is my color inspiration.  Since we don't have a home right now, I have no clue where to hold it, any ideas?

4. I opened up an email from Nordstroms and this picture was displayed...

Now, I do know that I don't have much fashion sense, but these are UGLY!! I mean, come on!  Sneakers are not meant to be uncomfortable, that defeats the purpose.

5. I finally caught up on the Bachelorette after watching it for 30 minutes everyday while I run on the treadmill during my lunch break!  Suprise suprise that the finale is THE most dramatic one yet...What do you think is going to happen?  Who is she going to pick?  This is the first time in a while that I haven't cheated and read Reality Steve and the suspense is killing me!!!

Happy Friday!
