Mothers Day 2016

I had a great Mother's Day this year.  I still can't believe I have three beautiful, healthy children.  I am so very blessed beyond my deserving.  Andrew made me strawberry pancakes in bed.  When he brought them to me, Lo was awake beside me as I was feeding Nora, and she asked what that was.  He told her that he made me pancakes for Mother's Day.  She then asked what he made her for Mother's Day.  Haha, that girl cracks me up!

We had a pretty relaxing day at home.  Lo and I went to target that morning, our favorite place, and then we all hung out at home as a family.  Even though Drew and Nora weren't feeling the greatest, it was a great day with the people I love the most.  On Mother's Day and everyday, I feel so fortunate I get to be a mommy.  It seems like just yesterday I was pleading and praying with God to just bless us with one child.  Fast forward to 5 years later and I have THREE babies 3 and under.  Anyone that says God doesn't have a sense of humor, does not know what they are talking about.  He is humorous all right and so very very good to us.  I've been reminded of this verse so many times and this is a perfect example of the beautiful grace of God..."The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14.

I was so fortunate to be raised by such an awesome mom.  However, it was not until I had children of my own, that I truly understood how amazing she really was when we were growing up.  She wasn't afraid to tell us no, if it meant it would keep us safe.  She worked full time, but she was still present at every sporting event, award ceremony, major life event.  She was and continues to be her children's biggest cheerleader and would drop anything to be there for us in a time of need.  Most importantly though, she instilled a love for God in us by truly leading by example.  Thank you God for not only a wonderful mother who has taught me so much, but also for making me a mother and for entrusting me to be these three little one's mommy.  There is no greater gift or job on earth, than to get to raise these children and show them how to live a Christian life, just as my mother did for me.

Nora Sue - 2 Months

Sweet Nora Sue,

You are two months old!  I think it is safe to say you love to eat.  You eat 7-8 times a day.  You are our chunky little monkey.  Your daddy has started giving you a bottle on the weekends and you are taking it so well, and I am so thankful!

You started smiling at 6 weeks and have the cutest little grin.

You loved to be talked to and sang to.  You have started to coo when I talk to you and I just love it.  I hold you probably way more than I should, but I just can't help but snuggle you and stare at your sweet face.  You are so cuddly and love to be held.  You have become a good sleeper and will sleep 7-8 hours a night, wake up, eat, and then go back to sleep for a few more hours.  You take 4-5 naps throughout the day as well.  You still have the bluest eyes.  I wonder if they will change or if they will stay that color.

Your big sister is your biggest fan and just adores you.  Your little brother loves to pull your hair and tell you "hi sissy!"  in his cute little voice.

You are a pretty chill little baby for the most part these days.  You hang out in the ergo when we go anywhere and dont seem to mind your car seat either.

You had your two month checkup and weighed 12.9 pounds!

We love you sweet little girl, so very much!

Drew 15 & 16 Months

Boy is time flying!  Our sweet little man is just so much fun these days!  He is such a boy and loves to play in dirt, climb on anything and everything, get into whatever he can, and balls, boy does he love balls.

He became a big brother and could pretty much careless, haha.  He just continues about his day, but he does say "hi sissy" in the sweetest little voice every time he sees Nora.  He all the sudden seems so much bigger these days.

He could still eat all day everyday and loves snacking.

He started walking 10 days after Nora was born and hasn't stopped since, in fact, he has recently started running.  It's just crazy how different he is from his big sister.

He is speaking so well and says just about anything you ask him to, except mama....he is so particular about when he will say that word...little stinker!

He had a little accident and broke his little pinky finger 10 days after Nora was born.  I was an emotional mess and just felt awful, heart broken for him.  It didn't slow him down one bit though.

This kid is seriously so awesome!  He loves to be outside and could just piddle outside or in the garage all day long.  He kicks the soccer ball all over the yard.  He can take a basketball and put it in his little basketball goal, and he loves carrying around a football or baseball.  I love that he loves balls so much, because I know it just melts his daddy's heart to see how much his son loves sports already.
His little face just melts me daily.  I never knew how much I needed a little boy in my life until I met this little man.  He is always so happy and so sweet.

He is also rotten and our little monster.  He loves to steal his sisters toys and blankies.  He is so ornery!

He loves to read books and will bring us book after book and plop down in our lap so we can read to him.

He still loves his thumb and blankie and is the best little sleeper!

And he loves his daddy and gets soooo excited when he gets home from work!  We love you little man!
