20 Weeks

May 31, 2012

Pregnancy Stats:

How Far Along: 20 weeks

Size of baby: 6 1/2 inches, the size of a small cantaloupe

Total Weight Gain: 6 lbs.

Gender: It's a GIRL, for sure!!!

Movement: I feel her kicking a lot more now, mainly when I am sitting still.  She's pretty quiet when I am up and doing things, but when she does kick they are getting a lot more noticeable.  This has got to be one of the most coolest feelings ever!

Sleep: Not so great this week, but we have a lot going on with moving into a new house and I have been sick with some awful head cold.  And of course, I wake up a few times a night to go to the bathroom, or to blow my nose or get a drink of water - I am always thirsty!

What I miss:  Running

Cravings: Lemonade

Symptoms: I can't really complain about anything right now.  Praise God for that!

Maternity Clothes: Not yet...getting close to needing some shorts because this little girl is sitting so low and refuses to move up :)

Best Moment this week: Andrew getting to feel our baby move!

Girls Night Out!

All of the girls from my residency program decided it was time for a girls night out!  We all went to Dave & Busters (minus Bridget :( ) for a well deserved fun night of dinner and playing games.  It was so fun to just go out with the girls and have a good time with each other, and NOT be working!!!  I can't believe residency is going to be over in 1 1/2 months.  Where has the time gone?!?  Even though I have spent more hours working the past three years than I ever would have imagined or wanted to do, I sure am going to miss this little family we have created.  I have formed some lasting friendships and just love these girls to pieces.  It's been an incredible journey and even though I am so very much looking forward to the next chapter in my life, it is very bittersweet to be leaving such a close nit group that has truly become like a family to me.  For no one else knows exactly what we go through, to get to this point.  It's a bond that can never be broken.  I'd wish all you girls the best of luck, but you don't need it.  You are all fabulous already!  XOXO

Details are coming...It hasn't been easy, but it sure has been worth it.  A special thanks to a few of our close family and friends who have prayed for us and been there every step of the way.  We love you more than you will ever know!
