Christmas

I love Christmas time!  Making new traditions and memories with Lo have been so much fun! We weren't able to do as much as I would normally like to do, since I was 38+ weeks pregnant, but we had a great Christmas anyway.  On Christmas Eve, we just hung out as a family, Lo & I in our matching grinch pajamas.

Lo got up around 8 on Christmas morning.  When we went in her room and told her Santa had came, she was so excited!  She ran to the tree and saw all her presents.  She immediately started opening them.  She was so excited for each one, but when she got to her present that she had been asking for over and over it was the sweetest.  She opened it...saw that it was her princess playdoh...and said in her sweet voice "It's play doh! I'm so proud of myself!  I'm so happy!"  It was so so sweet!

After we were done opening gifts, we played, with play doh of course, Lo took a nap, then we got ready and went to my parents house for an early dinner and more presents.

Then we went to Andrew's Dad's house for more food and more presents.

The day after Christmas we went to Andrew's moms house to celebrate some more and have dinner.

We had a great Christmas celebration with our family and made wonderful memories with our sweet Lo.  I can't believe that this time next year we will be celebrating the season with a little boy too!

Jesus is the reason for the season, and we are so so blessed by Him.

Santa

I had a feeling this was going to be the year I got the screaming Santa picture.

And I wasn't disappointed.  Haha!  We had been talking about Santa and telling her how nice he was and that if she was a good girl he would bring her presents and she seemed excited, then as soon as we saw him, she freaked out..twice.  I took her once to the Santa here in town.  She had a death grip on me the entire time so I didn't force her to sit on his lap.

Then I took her again to Bass Pro, where my parents met me.  I sat her on his lap and as soon as I did, the screaming began.  I quickly snapped a picture and went and "saved" her.  Funny memories for sure!  She was completely fine as soon as I picked her up.  Better luck next year?

Baby Showers for Baby Boy!

Despite my continuous requests of not wanting a baby shower, my friends didn't listen to me.  Why am I not surprised?  I have AWESOME friends.  For this, I am so very blessed!

My sweet friends at work surprised me with a baby shower at work.  It was so so nice!  The cake was adorable and they sure spoiled our little guy.  I am so lucky to work with some fun and caring people.

Then a week or so later, a few of my best friends, my sister, mom, and my sis-in-law surprised me again with another shower.  It was super cute, small, and so sweet!  It is great to have little get-togethers like that.  I am so very fortunate to have some of the best friends and family who care so much about me and my growing family to ignore my requests.  It really was a great time and our baby boy was once again spoiled.  I am so thankful for these people I get to go through life with.

Bitty Baby

My dad bought Lexi and Lo a Bitty Baby for no reason at all of course.  Lo watches how Lexi treats her baby like its a real life baby.  The other day Lo had me put Bitty Baby in a high chair next to her and feed her too.  And so it begins...

Funny things Lo says - November 2014

"Make me some coffee."

"Mommy's a good girl."

"Girl power!"

While praying... "Dear God, thank you for my mommy and daddy."  When I am praying she tells me, "say thank you for Lolo."

"I'm feeling frustrated."

She is saying big syllable words like, "Catarina and imagination."

"I look at you closer mommy," as she stares at me really close.

"Mommy sit in chair with me. I wanna cuddle wit you. I love cuddle you. I love you."

While at Hallmark, "grumpy cat! hugga mugga!"

"Daddy watcha doin, watcha makin."

"I'm all done sleeping."

"One more minute."

"No, I don't take a bath, I take a bath yesterday."

"Close my eye and think of something happy." What makes you happy? "The beach. Playdoh."

"I have noculars." How do you know what binoculars are?  "Daniel Tiger."

"I kiss baby brother.  I love baby brother."

"I need a cookie.  I need brownies."

She is always keeping us laughing, that's for sure!

Chippy!

We have been watching the movie the "Elf on the Shelf" to try to get Lo excited for Christmas and for the elf coming to stay with us for a month!  It has proven to be a success.  She loves the movie and loves chippy (the elf) in the movie.  So a few days after Thanksgiving we wrapped the Elf on the Shelf up and put the present outside and rang the doorbell.  She ran to the door and was so excited to have a present from Santa.  As soon as she opened it, she said "Look /mommy, it's Chippy!"  It was so fun to see how excited it made her.

Her and I had a special Chippy breakfast and she opened a little gift from him.  I love love love making these memories with my sweet girl.  It's so much fun!
