Life Lately

The month of July flew by!  Lo and I were supposed to run the princess run one weekend, but it poured.  So we went to Trader Joes instead.  The kids love that place because they have little carts for them to push.

Lo and Drew never miss the opportunity to go on a run with me!  Sometimes we run on the trails and go to the little pond.  Drew loves looking at the fish.

Drew is such a mess these days!

How many Willis' can you fit in a crib?

We went to the park one day to feed the birds and turtles and look at the Alpacas.  They love doing this!

My sister watched the kids again one day and had them all painting at once.

Lo loves snapchat!

Drew loves mowing with his daddy!

And the other two love hanging with their mama!

Fishing Tournament

Andrew and the kids love to participate in the Stone Canyon Fishing Tournament every year.  It was a hot day, but they seemed to have a great time and Lo caught a fish!  Nora and I ran to the lake and she had a great time as well!

Lolo Bear and her teeth

At the very end of May, Lo noticed she had a loose bottom tooth.  She was so excited and wanted it to come out so bad so that the tooth fairy would come.

It has continued to just be a little loose, but then mid July she had an accident with the slide.  She fell and really banged up her mouth and teeth.  One of her top front teeth actually came out due to the accident and the others were knocked really loose.  We took her to the dentist and she did amazing!  They took x-rays and told us she may or may not lose the other three teeth prematurely.

She was so excited that her daddy and her found the missing tooth.  She could not wait for the tooth fairy to come.  She woke me up at 6 am to come to her room and see what the tooth fairy brought her.  It was so cute!

She had a check up two weeks later and her front teeth have tightened up some.  They may or may not tighten up completely.

The dentist office is amazing!  I can not say enough good things about them and how they have treated her.

This was a tough one for me though.  I know this accident could have been a lot worse, but it still just really stinks.  And while Lo has been so amazing and handled it like a champ, and while I am so very proud of her, my heart has just hurt.  At the time it hurt so bad and I was just so emotionally drained from so much going on.  I was reminded quickly that being a mom is really hard.  No one really tells you these things. No one really prepares you for the mental tolling it can take on you.  I am so blessed by these beautiful children and I thank God for entrusting me with them everyday.  My heart has grown a million times and simply swells with so much love for these little people.  I get so much joy watching them learn and grow that I can't even explain it.  But...that doesn't negate the fact that being a mom is hard.  Having to deal with childcare while also dealing with the guilt of working and being away from your children is really freaking hard.  Motherhood is the hardest and best journey of my life.

Seaside 5, 6, & 7

On Saturday, we woke up and went to the Farmer's Market.  Then we found a cute little playground in Seaside and let the kids play for a bit. Two, out of the three, kids were excited to go!

After that, we all headed back to the pool!  We went to a different pool that had a splash pad as well.  The kiddos loved it!

Afterwards, we went home, ate lunch, then took naps.  After naps, we headed back to the beach!

The next day, I went for a run and saw an awesome view!

I came home to the kids all wearing mustaches...

We headed to the pool after breakfast.

After the pool, we ate lunch and took naps...

Then we headed back into Seaside to eat dinner and go to the beach one last time.

The next morning, we woke up bright and early to head back to the airport to head home!

We had so much fun on vacation, but there really is nothing like home, sweet home!
