Lo's first day of school

And just like that, my little girl started preschool.

I've been praying all week for God to help me with my anxious heart.  I've been anxious, scared, and nervous for this day.  So many questions and worries have filled my mind. When I was worried about how Lo would act with other kids, God showed up during Lo's first gymnastics class this week, ironically the first class for her was the week that school started, and prove to me that Lo would be just fine. When I was anxious about how Lo's teacher would be, He showed up again in an email from the teacher earlier this week introducing herself and letting us know she was praying for our sweet girl. When I've been anxious about the safety and security of her being away from home, He showed up again in another email from the head of security at the school praying for the school and the kids and their safety.  And today, when we dropped Lo off at school, God showed up yet again in the big smiles that our girl gave us when we dropped her off and with her only concern being if the teacher had any accessories for her to play with the play doh that was out. Although it saddens me that this sweet girl is growing up way too fast, I also have a calming sense and know that we have chosen the perfect place for her to learn and grow.

I was so nervous for her the entire day and couldn't wait to pick her up.  I may have teared up a little, but I did pretty good considering.  I got there right at 2:30 to pick her up and she was playing with the play kitchen.  She wouldn't tell me much about her day, but said she had fun.  The teacher said she did great!

I know school will be great for her!  She is such a smart little girl and will thrive, I have no doubt.

Thank you Lord, for this wonderful, amazing little blessing!

Lo's First Haircut

We finally convinced Lo to get a haircut!  It took a little bribing, but this girl finally agreed to go get her hair trimmed at "the movie place."  Her hair has gotten so long and she needed her ends trimmed desperately.  I could tell she was a little nervous, but she did so great and I was so proud of her.

When she was finished, the lady braided it and sprayed sparkles in her hair.  She was so proud!

Nora Sue - 5 Months

Nora Sue,

You are 5 months old!  I can't believe it.

You are our chunky little monkey!  You love to eat and love your mama!  You are happy as can be if you are being held and talked to.  You love to stand as we are holding you and are starting to like your exersaucer.

You love your big sister and smile so big every time you see her.

You are still sleeping in your bassinet next to me and still sleep well!  You are starting to love your blankie just like you sister and brother did.  You also still love your pacifier!

You are starting to drool like crazy and always have your hands in your mouth.

You have the sweetest gummy grin and the cutest little laugh.

We love you Nora Sue!!
