Time Flies!

It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them. Ralph Emerson

I can remember being a little girl in the first grade, secretly wishing I was already in high school.  I specifically remember a time way back when.  I was thinking that I wish I could just go to sleep and wake up a teenager.  Time seemed to go by so slow as a kid.  Now it seems like every time I blink my eyes, a year passes.  It is so crazy how fast time goes by these days.  If only I could be back in grade school when I had not a care in the world.  Those were the days!  The days that I walked 2 miles barefoot in the snow to get to school, ha!  just kidding, I only walked one mile.

my awesome hubby
I just recently had my 10 year reunion from high school.  I really wasn't too excited about going to it, but one of my really good friends did such a great job planning it, I couldn't not go.  She planned a dinner at fun restaurant and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised.  For the most part, everyone that went was so nice and pretty much the same as they were 10 years ago.  It was actually great to see some old familiar faces!  And of course its always nice to hang out with the great friends that I have remained in close contact with over the years.

The awesome organizer of our reunion
Me, Cassie, Amber, Chelsea, Tracy
These girls are some of my very best gal pals.  I love them all to pieces and would do just about anything for them.  My friend Cassie is the one that organized this shin dig.  Like I said, she did a great job!  We became friends in high school during math class and have been friends ever since.  She is always willing to help me out in anyway she can and is always so happy and cheerful.  Oh, and she loves chicken legs, almost as much as my friend amber.  I was Amber's very first friend in high school.  Amber would jump off a cliff to keep me safe from harm.  She always had my back on the soccer field, that's for sure!  She is such a loyal friend and a good person to have on your side.  Just don't take her egging, she doesn't have very good aim out the car window.  Chelsea married my grade school friend Robby.  He sure got lucky to marry her, she's pretty incredible, and I tell him that all the time :)  She is such an awesome friend and I think the only one that truly understands my love for my dogs.  However, I think her new baby boy is the new light of her life these days.  And then there is Tracy.  I have known Tracy since the first grade. We played on the same soccer team when we were just little girls.  Tracy has always felt the need to protect me and is always looking out for me, and I appreciate it now more than ever.  We have been friends through thick and thin.  It's neat to have a friend that you have known since you were six and look back on how times have changed and how we have grown up together.  I won't ever forget the cops, keys, and TPing though, that's for sure!

I am very blessed to have such amazing friends in this life of mine.  I feel so fortunate to be able to call these girls my pals and go through life with them by my side.  They are pretty freaking awesome and I couldn't ask for more loyal compadres.  I love you guys to the moon and back!

Eli was my buddy in school.  He was my homecoming escort in basketball and football in high school.  And as you can see, he and my hubby get along pretty well.  Oh, and did I mention he always loses against me?  Better luck next year pal!  P.S. I still think you are awesome.

I had a great 10 year reunion.  Thanks to Cassie for doing such a great job planning and organizing the event!
