Nora Sue 17 months

It seems like you have really changed this month!  You are talking more and more and comprehending everything.  You love running to us when we get home from work and giving us hugs.  You are all over the place and climbing on everything.  You love playing in your sisters room and getting into all her accessories.

I think the pantry is probably one of your favorite places.  You love to eat and love to make messes in there.   You will grab whatever it is that you want and insist that we get it for you.  When we ask you to get us a bowl for your snack, you happily walk over to the drawer and pull one out.

You love going on stroller rides with me in the neighborhood and are so content the entire time.

You still love swimming and love being outside!

You went on your first plane ride and did so awesome!

You finally got to ride in the cart at the grocery store for the first time, instead of being in the ergo, and loved every minute of it.

You love to sleep, love to take baths, and love to eat.

You are so content playing with your siblings and try to mimic everything they do.

You are such a fun kid!  I feel like I say this with all my babies, but you are so easy and such a great baby!  You just go with the flow and never make a fuss.

We love you sweet Nora Sue!!

Life Lately

The month of July flew by!  Lo and I were supposed to run the princess run one weekend, but it poured.  So we went to Trader Joes instead.  The kids love that place because they have little carts for them to push.

Lo and Drew never miss the opportunity to go on a run with me!  Sometimes we run on the trails and go to the little pond.  Drew loves looking at the fish.

Drew is such a mess these days!

How many Willis' can you fit in a crib?

We went to the park one day to feed the birds and turtles and look at the Alpacas.  They love doing this!

My sister watched the kids again one day and had them all painting at once.

Lo loves snapchat!

Drew loves mowing with his daddy!

And the other two love hanging with their mama!

Fishing Tournament

Andrew and the kids love to participate in the Stone Canyon Fishing Tournament every year.  It was a hot day, but they seemed to have a great time and Lo caught a fish!  Nora and I ran to the lake and she had a great time as well!

Lolo Bear and her teeth

At the very end of May, Lo noticed she had a loose bottom tooth.  She was so excited and wanted it to come out so bad so that the tooth fairy would come.

It has continued to just be a little loose, but then mid July she had an accident with the slide.  She fell and really banged up her mouth and teeth.  One of her top front teeth actually came out due to the accident and the others were knocked really loose.  We took her to the dentist and she did amazing!  They took x-rays and told us she may or may not lose the other three teeth prematurely.

She was so excited that her daddy and her found the missing tooth.  She could not wait for the tooth fairy to come.  She woke me up at 6 am to come to her room and see what the tooth fairy brought her.  It was so cute!

She had a check up two weeks later and her front teeth have tightened up some.  They may or may not tighten up completely.

The dentist office is amazing!  I can not say enough good things about them and how they have treated her.

This was a tough one for me though.  I know this accident could have been a lot worse, but it still just really stinks.  And while Lo has been so amazing and handled it like a champ, and while I am so very proud of her, my heart has just hurt.  At the time it hurt so bad and I was just so emotionally drained from so much going on.  I was reminded quickly that being a mom is really hard.  No one really tells you these things. No one really prepares you for the mental tolling it can take on you.  I am so blessed by these beautiful children and I thank God for entrusting me with them everyday.  My heart has grown a million times and simply swells with so much love for these little people.  I get so much joy watching them learn and grow that I can't even explain it.  But...that doesn't negate the fact that being a mom is hard.  Having to deal with childcare while also dealing with the guilt of working and being away from your children is really freaking hard.  Motherhood is the hardest and best journey of my life.
